ASK came from what I kept noticing as an agent.
I met plenty of talented actors who could do the creative work, but didn’t always know how to position themselves, market their strengths or work out what to do next.
A lot of industry advice gets passed around as fact when the answer is usually more individual. What level of agent should you be approaching? Are your materials actually the issue? What work are you being read for? Who really needs to know you?
I don’t agree with gatekeeping and I don’t think useful industry knowledge should only be available to people who already know who to ask.
What felt missing was someone looking at the whole picture, not just one headshot, one reel or one agent list.
That’s what ASK is for - a clearer view of where you are now, what’s helping, what isn’t and where your attention is best placed next.
